Technology Support [Multiple Positions Available] We are seeking experienced Technology Support Specialists to join J.P. Morgan. Positions involve maintaining and improving reliability, scalability of applications across private cloud and physical infrastructures.

Description

Perform and maintain development to improve reliability and scalability of applications in private cloud and physical infrastructures.

Maintain and improve reliability of high-scale systems.

Automate repetitive and manual tasks with scripts, coding, automation services and other tools to reduce effort and improve efficiency.

Review code and perform operational management including change and incident management to ensure release processes and SLAs are met and outages are addressed.

Perform release management, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Monitor applications, infrastructure, processes, usage traffic, certificates, performance, and capacity.

Plan modernization and migration to cloud, reviewing distributed systems architecture and cost analysis.

Perform disaster recovery and test service resilience to ensure systems can handle unexpected interruptions.

Mentor and provide technical training to front-line support staff in application management.

Qualifications

Minimum education: 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience as Technology Support, Application Support, System Administrator, IT Specialist, or related occupation.

5 years of experience supporting workflow-based applications with monolithic and layered architectures; using Oracle databases; working in low-latency Linux environments; performing disaster recovery and service resiliency tests for high-availability applications.

3 years of experience performing operational management tasks with ServiceNow; managing server migration from on-premises to AWS; scripting with Bash and Perl; monitoring SSL certificates; managing large-scale software applications supporting >15,000 users in a global financial institution; improving reliability of high-scale applications in private cloud and virtual servers with microservices and layered architectures; using scheduling and configuration tools (Autosys, Control-M, JIRA, Confluence); deploying code with CI/CD practices; configuring monitoring tools (Grafana, Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog); troubleshooting Oracle query performance; using Cassandra; working with Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic; coding and reviewing software in Java 8 or higher.
