The Role At Twinkl, we help those who teach — every state, every teacher, every child. As our Social Media Strategist, you’ll be the visionary and the hands‑on architect of our social presence, leading a talented team to deliver high‑impact, brand‑aligned content across all platforms. You’re equally comfortable pitching a big campaign idea in a boardroom as you are jumping into TikTok to test a new trend before lunch. You don’t just know what’s trending — you know why it works, and how to adapt it for our educator community while staying true to our values. This role leads strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook (including Groups), LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and cohesive execution across all channels. You’ll be the central point of contact for social strategy on product launches, campaigns, partnerships, influencer collaborations, and community‑driven initiatives.

Social Strategy Leadership

Develop and own Twinkl’s multi‑channel social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, product launches, campaigns, and retention/acquisition goals.

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of channel specialists and creators.

Maintain a constant pulse on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging formats.

Campaign Concepting & Execution

Partner with product marketing to develop cohesive social strategies for launches, partnerships, and key seasonal campaigns.

Translate high‑level campaign ideas into platform‑specific executions with measurable objectives.

Collaborate with the Delight Team on community and customer appreciation activations.

Content & Creative Direction

Oversee content calendars across all channels, ensuring brand voice, tone, and visual identity are consistent and impactful.

Provide creative direction and content strategy for messaging and positioning, video, photography, and graphics; step in to create content if needed.

Partner with Influencer Coordinator to ensure influencer content is utilized across channels for maximum ROI.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with community managers to align content with community conversations and sentiment.

Partner with acquisition and retention teams to ensure social content supports wider lifecycle and funnel goals.

Leverage customer insights, churn reasons, and FAQs to create content that addresses audience needs.

Performance Optimization

Monitor channel and campaign performance; analyze what’s working, what’s not, and why.

Lead test‑and‑learn initiatives, balancing innovation with brand safety.

Create regular performance reports with actionable insights for future planning.

Crisis Communications Planning

Develop and maintain a social media crisis playbook to guide response during unexpected events.

Coordinate with leadership, customer care, and PR to ensure timely, consistent, and brand‑safe messaging in high‑pressure situations.

Paid/Organic Integration

Partner with the paid social media team to align messaging, creative, and timing across campaigns.

Ensure organic and paid strategies complement each other for maximum reach and impact.

Employer Branding on Social

Collaborate with HR/recruitment to develop content that positions Twinkl as an employer of choice in the education sector.

Highlight company culture, values, and team achievements across social channels.

Social Listening & Sentiment Tracking

Implement proactive social listening to identify opportunities, trending conversations, or potential issues.

Track sentiment over time and report insights to leadership, using findings to guide future content strategy.

Process & Brand Stewardship

Develop workflows for campaign planning, creative review, and performance tracking.

Uphold and evolve Twinkl’s brand guidelines for social media.

What You’ll Bring

4+ years in social media strategy, including leadership of multi‑role teams.

Proven success creating high‑performing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Deep understanding of social platform algorithms, formats, and creative best practices.

Sharp creative instincts paired with data‑driven decision‑making.

Comfort working cross‑functionally with product, content, acquisition, and community teams.

Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple campaigns with tight deadlines.

Willingness to step into content creation when needed.
