What You Will Do

Prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts and other cold food items following standardized recipes.

Comply with Portion Control Standards according to departmental policy.

Follow HACCP Food Safety Guidelines.

Clean and operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Perform tray line service, ensuring trays are aesthetically pleasing and service is accurate.

Prepare and deliver floor stocks and nourishments on time.

Perform meal service: ensure cafeteria meal service starts on time, food is displayed attractively in steam tables, salad bar and sandwich bar, and the cafeteria remains clean and orderly.

Perform dish room operation according to department standards.

Carry out all duties in accordance with C-I-CARE Standards for patient care.

Education Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent (preferred).

Experience Qualifications

Six months experience in food production in a hospital or similar setting (preferred).

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $28.84 - $37.08 per hour.
