About us McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia, P.C., a proven national defense firm, is dedicated to representation of corporate and insurance clients in a wide range of practice areas including (but not limited to) products liability, toxic torts/hazardous substances, medical malpractice, commercial transportation, negligent hiring/supervision, and general insurance defense of liability claims.
The Job MKCI is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Livingston, New Jersey litigation team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal and a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
Perform general administrative duties including coordination of prints, scans, and duplicating projects.
Coordinate New Matter intake process and initiate conflicts checks.
Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required.
Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court dates.
Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and subpoenas.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases (all MKCI attorneys and legal professionals are trained to utilize the latest AI technologies for legal research and litigation assistance from case intake through trial).
Organize and maintain case files, documents, and medical records.
Work with litigation team to ensure cases are properly prepared and deadlines are met.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
Prepare deposition and trial exhibits.
Bill for time.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with active trial litigation team, managing a large case load and/or cases involving numerous defendants/multi-district litigation preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies preferred.
Strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal documentation.
Proficient in legal research and legal software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as with others.
