Responsible for fixed asset and capital project accounting and planning for Kubota Tractor Corporation (KTC), Kubota Credit Corporation (KCC), Kubota North America (KNA), Kubota Insurance Corporation (KIC), and Kubota Tractor Acceptance Corporation (KTAC).
This position will must be able to work collaboratively with team members from multiple functions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
MBA or CPA license preferred.
Skills And Background Requirements
5+ years related experience in finance or accounting required.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills including creation of models and analysis from scratch and the maintenance or interpretation of models and analysis from others.
Understanding of financial statements, key financial metrics, and financial performance indicators.
Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting processes such as month/quarter/year-end close.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with a major ERP system (SAP strongly preferred).
Principle Activities
Assist with all fixed asset accounting activities, including acquisition, classification, depreciation, and disposal.
Work closely with departments for capital projects planning and accounting, including annual budget, CIP tracking, appropriation requests, and timely capitalization.
Prepare fixed asset and capital project related journal entries, account reconciliations, and rollforwards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes pertaining to fixed assets and capital projects, including preparation of financial reporting and disclosures.
Assist with periodic physical verification of fixed assets.
Prepare and support internal and external audit requests for fixed assets.
Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures.
Evaluate and recommend opportunities for process improvements and standardization of accounting tasks and reports.
Special Projects
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support special projects as directed by leadership.
Language Requirements Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Equipment Operation Office equipment – computer, scanner, copier, fax, phone
Physical Requirements Typical office environment and will require walking, standing and sitting in front of a computer.
