General Description:
The Personal Risk Specialist is an outside sales position focused on serving the unique insurance needs of affluent/high net worth clients. This role involves cross-selling and establishing additional sources of clients for business development. Responsibilities
Schedule appointments with high net worth individuals to understand their lifestyle, concerns, and insurance needs, providing consultative advice for personalized risk management solutions. Achieve new business sales goals annually within the target market. Develop lists of prospective clients and leads, focusing on the USI One Advantage program. Engage with professionals serving the affluent segment, such as lawyers, financial advisors, and realtors. Identify and overcome sales obstacles on a prospect-specific basis. Implement sales and marketing strategies, including periodic communications. Meet with external centers of influence to prospect and serve as a value-added service for their clients. Build relationships with internal teams and establish trust with clients and prospects. Support cross-selling strategies for existing and new clients. Participate in meetings with clients and prospects. Manage prospect data and activity records in CRM and sales tracking systems. Prepare proposals and personalized insurance programs for clients and prospects. Flexible schedule required, including some evening hours. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 3 years in High Net Worth or personal insurance sales or service. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Personal lines insurance industry experience required. Ability to travel 50% or more for client meetings. Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently. Motivated, goal-oriented, and organized. Customer service skills applicable to sales. Knowledge of carriers and the personal insurance marketplace. Understanding of mutual objectives within the practice and region. College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Active property-casualty license required or to be obtained within 60 days of hire. Proficiency in MS Office suite. Why USI?
