Real Estate Agent / Senior Associate, Capital Markets (JAX)
Matthews™ Real Estate Investment Services™ seeks a Senior-Level Associate to work within our Capital Markets division specializing in debt origination across all commercial real estate asset types. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with investment property owners, capital providers, and lenders, leveraging Matthews’ best-in-class platform to win business and drive long‑term partnerships.
Responsibilities
Proactively reach out to owners of commercial real estate properties.
Maintain and create new relationships with active lenders in commercial real estate.
Maintain detailed records of activity in Matthews proprietary CRM system.
Utilize the company’s industry‑leading tools and technology to win business and build relationships with owners and capital providers.
Provide clients with valuable financial analysis and underwriting/debt sizing of investment real estate.
Mentor new associates entering the capital markets division, assist with training, develop business plans, generate new business, and execute the loan process.
Collaborate closely with Market Leaders to curate an effective business plan.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related industry, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in capital markets / debt origination preferred.
Competitive nature, strong understanding of effective prospecting, and proven ability to generate new accounts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational competency to maintain regular contact with a large database of clients, prospects, and lenders.
Strong grasp of mathematics, ability to complete financial analysis and underwriting/debt sizing of investment real estate.
Skill in complex financial modeling and interpretation for potential clients.
Professional work ethic, integrity, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly motivated, determined, fearless, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Coachable and insatiable appetite for success.
