Summary This role will maintain and operate plant infrastructure and systems pertaining to it. Will assist all other crafts in the maintenance of plant equipment within the Spirit Wichita facility. This will include, but not be limited to operation of process water systems within the individual's skill set and/or with proper training.
Responsibilities
Perform tasks such as retrieval and delivery of tools and equipment as instructed by higher level employees or management.
Work with and assist higher graded employees, independently perform general building maintenance tasks and functions.
Perform work efficiently and train in new methods and advanced technologies as necessary.
Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and allocate parts from the parts crib.
Use hand tools, power tools, shop equipment and motorized vehicles (≤8,000 lbs) for operational use and delivery of small parts.
Perform tasks not requiring licenses or certificates as required by state and federal codes within the geographical area, as instructed by higher level employees or management.
Communicate activity across all shifts.
Prepare and clean areas and equipment before and after use.
Perform physical work and maintain clean and organized work areas, shops and equipment.
Qualifications
Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Must be willing and able to work any shift.
All candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment or provide verification of completion.
Preferred
2+ years of relevant experience.
Kansas Tax Credit Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
