Overview
Bilingual Administrative Assistant (German/English-speaking) – Rödl & Partner USA, Charlotte, NC. This full-time position provides support to senior management and staff in an international public accounting firm. The ideal candidate is a positive, self-motivated, professional individual with superb organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Minimum requirements include German language proficiency (native or professional at a minimum), and an Associate’s degree and/or 4+ years of administrative experience. The role requires comfort working with financial data, software, and office equipment. Responsibilities
Phone: answer incoming calls promptly and professionally; transfer calls and relay messages to the appropriate personnel or departments Mail and Deliveries: receive mail and packages; scan, sort, and distribute mail; manage certified mail and FedEx shipments; add and remove clients from mailing lists Meetings and Conferences: prepare conference rooms, arrange catering and refreshments, greet guests, and tidy up after meetings Audit Support: format financial statement reports, link data from Excel, finalize reports with letterhead and signature, and prepare/ship deliverables to clients Tax Assistance: finalize tax return documents and ship deliverables via certified mail or FedEx Business Process Outsourcing Support: ensure timely mailing of checks and 1099s; prepare deposit slips and handle physical deposits Time flexibility to work before or after regular hours to meet occasional deadlines; standard hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday Qualifications
German language skills required (native or professional proficiency at minimum) Associate’s degree and/or 4+ years of administrative experience or equivalent Strong MS Word & Outlook; PowerPoint; working knowledge of Excel and Adobe Excellent oral and written communication skills (letters, memos, emails) Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff and manage priorities effectively High-level client-service orientation with discretion for sensitive information Public Accounting or Law Firm experience preferred but not required Accounting software experience (CCH Axcess, ProSystem products) a plus but not required Benefits
