Responsibilities

Teach BSW and MSW courses in areas aligned with expertise (clinical, policy, community practice, etc.), offered in both online and in-person formats. Design and deliver engaging, justice-informed instruction that supports diverse learning modalities. Mentor and advise students to support their academic and professional development. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive learning environment across multiple course delivery platforms. Demonstrate collegial engagement by fostering respectful collaboration, reliability, and professionalism within the department and broader university community. Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline. Skills

Expertise in social work practice and theory. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Ability to integrate human rights and justice-informed perspectives into teaching. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-oppressive practice in social work education. Capacity to adapt instruction to diverse learners and modalities. Experience

Minimum of two years post-MSW professional practice experience. Clinical practice experience in social work settings. Engagement in applied research or scholarship relevant to social work. Teaching or training experience with undergraduate and/or graduate students. Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and online learning environments. Education

Master of Social Work (MSW) required. Hold a MN Board of Social Work License (LGSW, LISW, LICSW) or be eligible for MN required. Doctorate in social work or related field preferred but not required. Compensation At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We typically pay $1,000 per credit hour for online courses and $1,250 per credit hour for in person or hybrid courses.
