Social Media / Content Strategist

Location: DTLA

Type: Full‑time

Salary: 48k

About the Role We’re looking for a creative partner who can help develop founder‑led content that documents the design process, creative lifestyle, and storytelling behind it, as well as managing daily social media accounts.

You’ll help concept, script, film, and edit short‑form content in a style rooted in cinematic, heavy into core branding and leaning away from typical social media trends.

You’ll also support the traditional marketing side of the company, specifically email marketing and data analysis.

This is not just a videographer role — it’s part creative director, part producer, part marketer. You’ll help turn ideas into stories that build a world.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production

Concept, script, film, and edit short‑form video content (Reels, TikToks, campaign films).

Capture both cinematic process moments and candid lifestyle content (studio, pop‑ups, travel).

Manage shoot logistics, lighting setups, and camera gear (Sony, Canon, or equivalent).

Creative Strategy

Collaborate on storylines for the Designer’s Diary and LUMI : tea series

Translate creative briefs into compelling visuals that reflect brand tone.

Contribute to content calendars and storytelling arcs for both the jewelry and tea brand.

Marketing & Distribution

Draft short‑form copy for posts, captions, and hooks.

Manage email campaigns (Klaviyo, Flodesk, or equivalent) and basic CRM updates.

Track performance and adapt storytelling strategies for growth.

AI‑Assisted Workflow

Use ChatGPT (via structured sheets and prompts) to brainstorm, outline, and refine scripts.

Maintain creative documentation and Notion boards for brand storytelling and campaign planning.

Requirements

Proven experience in video production (filming, editing, sound design).

Strong understanding of storytelling for social media — tone, pacing, and emotional narrative.

Comfortable with tools like Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve.

Solid understanding of email marketing and digital campaign fundamentals.

Organized, independent, and collaborative — can take an idea and turn it into something beautiful.

Must be comfortable working closely with the founder (on‑site shoots, brainstorming sessions, and creative planning).

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience in fashion, jewelry, or creative lifestyle industries.

Background in design, architecture, or art direction.

A short paragraph on why you resonate with this brand and its tone.
