Regional Sales Manager – Central Region About Yara

Responsible for all commercial business activities within the assigned region, including negotiating contracts, prices, and any follow-up agreements. Ensure that all relevant internal departments have necessary information for successful fulfillment of all internal and external obligations. Provide market intelligence related to prices, programs, trends, and competitive activities relevant to the region. Define the sales plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and sales and marketing activities in agreement with established business strategy. Focus on customers and key retail accounts to ensure market access within the region. Implement the Yara Crop Nutrition strategy in the region. Work collaboratively with market development, marketing, product management, and digital teams to execute Yara’s crop nutrition solutions. Manage and develop a team of sales professionals to ensure demand generation and to build farmer relationships. Provide link to crop, market access, commercial strategies, and customers. Execute sales plan. Profile

Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, or an Ag related field; Master degree may be an advantage. 5 years of working experience managing sales roles in similar industries, preferably with value added fertilizers exposure and digital tools experience. CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) is preferred. Extensive travelling requiring a valid driver’s license. Highly skilled in business orientation, market and product knowledge, commercial forecasting and risk analysis, negotiation, communication, customer service, and interpersonal communication, and management. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as digital tools such as Twitter and Facebook. Familiarity with region crops and cropping systems. Additional Information

The position holder must: Be willing to travel, local and overnight, up to 40%. Hold a valid driver’s license. Drive safely to necessary appointments, as driving is a substantial part of the position holder’s time. Stand at times for long periods (i.e. presentations, trade show booths). Walk necessary distances on even or uneven surfaces (i.e. farm fields). Bend and reach material (i.e. inspection of soil and crops, taking soil, tissue, and harvest samples). Read and utilize computer and other relevant work material. Must live within the region: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Eastern Montana. Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. Knowledge Grows
