Ultra Maritime's Electrical Engineering team supports development and production of cutting-edge Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) technology such as state-of-the-art sonobuoy products and advanced ASW receiver systems, including sonobuoy receivers, RF front-end modules, and digital signal processing electronics for the U.S. Navy and other navies around the world. You'll support the design, documentation and release of electrical circuit card assemblies working closely with the Electrical Engineering team.

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and maintain detailed electrical design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly documentation in accordance with company and IPC standards.
Generate and manage Bills of Material (BOMs), revisions, and associated documentation in coordination with engineering and configuration management.
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to implement schematic changes, perform ECAD-MCAD integration, and ensure design intent is accurately reflected in CAD deliverables.
Optimize PCB layouts through component placement, routing, and DFM/DFT reviews to ensure manufacturability and testability.
Work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure drawings, documentation, and BOMs support production and procurement activities.
Maintain configuration control by managing drawing standards, version control, and file management within the company's configuration management system.
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement efforts, contributing to CAD process enhancements, templates, and documentation best practices.
Required Background: Associate's degree Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field with a minimum 6 additional years experience OR Bachelor degree Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field with a minimum 4 additional years experience
Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer (Preferred), Mentor Graphics (PADS/Xpedition), or Cadence Allegro/OrCAD.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment.
Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are only granted to U.S. citizens.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS office
Desired Skills: Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-2615) and industry drawing conventions.
A background in Electrical Engineering or prior experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician is highly desirable to support effective collaboration with the EE team and to assist with engineering tasks as needed.
Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Experience working under configuration control and design change processes.
Strong writing skills.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be capable of occasional lifting of 40 pounds, waist high, with no assistance.
Normal finger dexterity, and normal color vision.
Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years experience using CAD software.
May be required to maintain security clearance.
