Job Purpose:
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying components, materials, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, codes, and standards. This role maintains calibration and certification of inspection equipment, manages quality records, reports non-conformances, and supports audits to uphold to our client's high standards of product quality and compliance.
Responsibilities: • Inspect and verify components, materials, and assemblies supplied to or produced against drawings, purchase orders, codes, and standards. • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of manufactured parts. • Maintain calibration and certification of inspection and test equipment, ensuring accurate records. • Coordinate and maintain inspection records and certification • Manage and monitor the maintenance schedule for calibration equipment. • Liaise with Operations and Purchasing to ensure timely recertification of test and calibration equipment. • Report, document, and track non-conformances; support resolution and corrective actions. • Participate in internal and external audits when required, providing inspection data and records. • Provide quality reports and trending data to management in a timely manner. • Ensure non-conforming products are controlled, segregated, and expedited through the decision-making process. • Oversee and coordinate any equipment requiring specialist coatings after QC. • Promote and apply quality systems, procedures, and standards at all times. • Support continuous improvement in inspection processes, quality systems, and productivity.
Comply with all company and/or client quality, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures at all times. Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, or hazards to your manager or foreman and complete the required documentation Do not perform any task unless you have been properly trained and authorized to do so - when in doubt, stop and ask. Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge:
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical terminology. Experience in fabrication, machining, and assembly inspection. Knowledge of material standards, certification, and traceability requirements. Proficient in use of inspection and measurement equipment (measurement arm, shadowgraph, thread gauges, micrometers, calipers). Competent in a range of inspection and measuring techniques. Knowledge of composite materials advantageous. NDT qualifications advantageous. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality systems. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a small, focused team. Cultural Fit:

Occasional overtime may be required to support operational demands.
