Skilled Warehouse Material Handler needed in Omaha, NE!
Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Pay $16/HR
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of materials and products that flow in and out of our warehouse facility. As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day tasks will include receiving, processing, and storing shipments while maintaining an organized and clean workspace. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are crucial, as you will be responsible for correctly handling inventory, including checking for damages and ensuring correct quantities are received. In addition to physical handling of materials, you will be expected to operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, so a willingness to learn and comply with safety regulations is essential. You will also work closely with other team members to meet shipping schedules and fulfill customer orders promptly. Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality.
Organize and store materials and products in designated warehouse locations.
Pick and pack orders for shipment based on customer requirements.
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic stock audits.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures in the warehouse.
Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines and customer satisfaction.,
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to foster an efficient working environment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a warehouse worker or material handler is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment, or willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills is a plus. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
