Description
The janitor maintains a clean and safe, welcoming environment for all visitors at our facilities. Responsible for the upkeep of the facility, including indoor and outdoor spaces, to ensure they remain clean, orderly, and fully functional.
Shifts are Thursday to Sunday 4:00a-8:00a. Applicants need to have a strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards, demonstrated punctuality and reliability in work habits. Examples of Duties
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors. Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and changing areas. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Dust and clean surfaces, windows, and mirrors throughout the facility. Inspect and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and toiletries in all areas. Report maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged equipment to the management team. Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including parking lots, and sidewalks. Remove litter, debris, and snow or ice as needed. Provide courteous assistance to facility users when necessary. Address complaints or concerns promptly and escalate to management as required. Other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications
Minimum age - 18 Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in a recreational or public facility setting. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in work habits. Willingness to accept supervision and to communicate effectively with supervisors Enter records as required.
