The Role: Primary responsibility is to lead field-level commissioning and quality assurance efforts across Coral Reef Partners' commercial and community-scale solar projects. This role ensures that installations meet performance, reliability, and safety standards, from construction through final system turnover. The Commissioning and Quality Lead works closely with construction, operations, and engineering teams to support project delivery through audits, inspections, functional testing, and system validation.

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning Leadership:

Execute functional testing, performance validation, and system verification for PV systems Lead commissioning activities across DC, AC, and communication components Manage punch lists and system turnover processes in coordination with project teams Support utility, AHJ, and client coordination during system testing and energization Quality Assurance & Control:

Conduct on-site quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle Verify compliance with design documents, codes, and manufacturer specifications Track, document, and drive resolution of quality issues and corrective actions Support QA/QC documentation and development of checklists and procedures Leadership & Collaboration:

Mentor and lead small field teams during testing and inspection phases Work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Construction Managers Provide daily updates, technical reports, and performance summaries to internal stakeholders Support company-wide efforts for improving field quality and commissioning standards Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV construction, commissioning, or quality assurance Strong understanding of DC/AC electrical systems, inverters, and solar monitoring equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagrams Proficiency with commissioning and testing tools (e.g., IV curve tracers, insulation testers, multimeters) Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills Ability to travel regularly to project sites and work in field-based environments NABCEP PV Installation Professional or Commissioning Certification OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR Certification Experience using QA/QC or commissioning tools (e.g., Procore) Familiarity with medium-voltage systems and grid interconnection testing Ability to execute and manage project commissioning activities Strong field leadership and troubleshooting skills Proficient in system-level quality assurance and control measures Capable of coordinating across multiple departments and project stakeholders Strong documentation habits and attention to technical detail Commitment to continuous improvement and process development Perks & Benefits:

Schedule: Full-Time | Field-Based Role | Travel Required This is a field-based role with frequent travel to active solar project sites. Work is performed outdoors in various weather and site conditions. All employees must adhere to company and site safety requirements, including the use of appropriate PPE.
