Prestigious AmLaw 200 Law Firm headquartered in New York seeks an experience docketing professional to join it's Managing Clerks office. The
Assistant Managing Clerk
will start on a temporary basis. The Firm is known for it's work/life balance and the position provides the opportunity to work on projects spanning different practice groups and areas of law.
Responsibilities :
Manage department calendar
and ensure timely tracking of court dates, deadlines, and internal schedules. Prepare, file, and serve legal documents
across federal, state, and local courts, including e-filing and compliance with procedural rules. Coordinate case logistics
with attorneys, paralegals, and court personnel, and maintain organized case files and databases. Monitor case activity , conduct docket searches, track filings and motions, and follow up on legal actions. Support administrative functions , including document formatting, proofreading, training junior staff, and backing up the Managing Clerk. Requirements :
Education & Experience : Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; 2-5 years in legal or clerical support with court filing system experience. Legal Knowledge : Solid understanding of civil/criminal court procedures and compliance requirements. Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software like CourtAlert, PACER, NYSCEF, and CM/ECF. Core Competencies : Strong communication, multitasking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $85,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
