Security Guard - Government Unarmed Facility Patrol

Staten Island, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and engage with the public using strong communication and customer service skills. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence. Monitor for potential security-related hazards and report any unusual circumstances to appropriate personnel. Interact with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining site protocols. Document and report security-related activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client guidelines. Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting with entry and exit at designated points. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
