Security Guard - Government Site Patrol Unarmed

Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned areas. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and maintain a security-related presence. Observe and report any suspicious activities and/or security-related incidents encountered during patrols. Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies. Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or site updates. Follow all applicable protocols for unarmed patrol posts, adapting to the unique needs of a government location. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
