As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and protocols, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment. Monitor access points and verify identification as needed, maintaining awareness of all persons entering or exiting the location. Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies. Work collaboratively with local authorities and site personnel during incidents and/or emergencies. Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities using approved Allied Universal reporting systems. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
