Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to provide technical expertise on power generation and heavy industrial projects. This role involves leading the development of structural calculations, foundations, and steel designs across all project phases—from concept through construction—while also supporting on-site structural activities. Our projects span simple and combined cycle power plants, nuclear facilities, and plant retrofits throughout the U.S., offering opportunities to engage in a full range of structural engineering and design work. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute structural design for power generation and heavy industrial projects. Review design codes, specifications, drawings, and other project documentation to ensure compliance and technical accuracy. Prepare and review structural analyses, engineering reports, design studies, specifications, and construction drawings. Deliver high-quality designs within scope, budget, and schedule constraints. Collaborate closely with multi-discipline teams and follow established engineering standards, procedures, and design practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering and design. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the U.S.; eligibility for comity licensing in additional states is a plus. Proficiency with engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, Mathcad, or equivalent tools. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines. Experience performing seismic analysis and structural design for nuclear power plant systems and components. Familiarity with AutoDesk Advance Steel is an asset. Salary Range: $90,000-100,000 The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
