HR Generalist Job at Intelligent Green Solutions LLC in Town of Ithaca

Intelligent Green Solutions is looking for qualified HR Generalist candidates to join our industry-leading team. The HR Generalist is responsible for serving as a direct point of contact for employees for day-to-day employee issues and HR-related questions. The HR Generalist will also assist in implementing and conducting HR programs, including facilitating programs, preparing communications, and gathering, synthesizing, and presenting data.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for employee issues and concerns, escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Oversee organization-wide recruitment and hiring processes.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to advise management on routine employee relations issues.
• Assist with retention efforts such as employee surveys, pulse meetings, and engagement initiatives.
• Facilitate HR-led training sessions, including New Hire Orientation.
• Manage documentation for payroll and employee relations databases.
• Identify and implement policy and procedural improvements.
• Contribute to HR projects by gathering data, preparing for meetings, and conducting research.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, ADA, FMLA, NYPFL).
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Professional attitude and work ethic.
• Discretion handling sensitive information.

Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in a related field.
• At least 2 years of recruitment experience.
• At least 2 years in an HR generalist role or similar capacity.
