Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Digital Production Assistant, Politics to be a part of a groundbreaking online news team for the Fox News Digital newsroom.

Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities

  • Story research
  • Assist editors by pitching stories
  • Maintain a database of contacts and story ideas
  • Assist reporters, writers, and editors with video editing and blog posts
  • Coordinate the presentation of still photos as well as montages, collages, photo illustrations, and slideshows
  • Create compelling photo montages and videos for DotCom and social media platforms
  • Seek out and identify compelling images from a large selection of wire services, news networks, and content partner content
  • Produce slideshows and videos that capture important and compelling events

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
  • High level of interest in politics, campaigns, and elections
  • One year working in a daily breaking news environment
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures with editors and reporters
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Proven creative mind with a great eye for detail
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects
  • Prior experience working in a CMS preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.00–$25.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
