SUMMARY The Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining schedules and plans to ensure efficient operations, optimal inventory levels, and timely delivery of products or services. This position works closely with operations, purchasing, sales, and other departments to balance demand, capacity, and resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, maintain, and adjust production or project schedules to meet customer demand and internal goals. Analyze forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to create efficient plans. Monitor material availability and coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to prevent shortages or delays. Communicate changes in schedule or priorities to relevant departments and stakeholders. Review work orders and ensure accuracy of data in planning systems (ERP/MRP). Collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve scheduling or resource conflicts. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and inventory accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency. Prepare reports and summaries for management regarding production status, material constraints, and forecast accuracy. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. 2-5 years of planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related planning tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit, stand and move between office and production areas. Ability to lift and move products (up to 50lbs)
