Staffmark is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a steel manufacturing team in Ringgold, GA. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating welding equipment to fabricate metal components according to precise specifications.
Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential (or based on experience)
Shifts Available: 1st and 3rd shift
Responsibilities:
Read Blueprints & Technical Drawings: Interpret engineering plans to determine dimensions and welding requirements.
Machine Setup: Configure welding machines and select appropriate tools and fixtures.
Material Handling: Lift and position parts (up to 50 lbs manually; heavier items with crane/hoist).
Quality Control: Ensure welds meet required codes and standards.
Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to machine operation or weld quality.
Workspace Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
At least 2 years of welding experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Skilled in MIG/TIG or other welding methods
Experience using measuring tools and performing precise measurements
Strong attention to detail and safety
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Team player with good communication skills
