Job Description A day in this role You start by reviewing pick tickets and shipping plans. You group orders by purchase order, customer, and delivery location, then prep dock door locations to support consolidation. With stacking requirements in mind, you build, combine, and pyramid door stacks per SOP, using culled doors, cardboard, and runners to protect product. You verify that each door and its Jetta mark or species matches the ticket, inspect paint edge quality, and send any nonconforming doors to repair. Throughout the shift, you direct other lift drivers on staging locations, communicate with upstream and downstream teams to complete loads, and wrap doors for shipment. What you will handle
Coordinate and sort orders by PO, customer, and destination. Prepare dock door locations and follow the consolidation process. Adhere to stacking requirements for safe, stable loads. Stack and down stack pallets of doors to customer shipping quantity specifications. Verify door identification, including Jetta mark and species, against tickets; check paint edge quality. Build and pyramid door stacks using SOP methods and protective materials. Direct lift drivers on where to stage pallets of doors. Send doors that miss quality standards to repair. Use a pallet jack to retrieve, stage, and wrap doors for shipment. Communicate with internal partners to complete outbound loads. Unload incoming product from vendors; verify against invoices or bills of lading. Read, complete, and process receiving paperwork and transfers; put materials away in proper locations. Execute organizational directives for warehouse layout and material storage. Confirm material movements are in process and assist in locating materials. Operate forklifts to load, unload, lift, move, place, and stack raw materials and navigate throughout the plant. Safety and work standards
Follow written work instructions with strong attention to detail. Apply forklift knowledge and safety procedures at all times. Use PPE and report safety violations to your supervisor, leads, or safety team. Work practices consistent with OSHA guidelines. Comply with Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements. Keep a clean, organized area in line with 5S standards. Collaboration and schedule
Partner with leadership and quality teams to resolve issues. Work required overtime when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. What you know
