Project Manager - Heavy Highway / Bridge Construction
Leading civil and infrastructure contractor
JL Partners
is seeking experienced Project Managers to join their North Carolina operations. This opportunity requires a results‑driven professional with a proven background in bridge and major infrastructure projects.
Compensation Base pay: $120,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr (subject to skill and experience)
Location Mount Airy, NC
Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, coordination, and execution for bridge and highway construction projects.
Work closely with
superintendents and foremen
to ensure safety, quality, and productivity on‑site.
Establish and monitor
project objectives, schedules, and budgets
within company policy and contract specifications.
Coordinate with
NCDOT officials, engineers, and subcontractors
to maintain compliance with specifications and regulations.
Oversee cost control, progress tracking, and forecasting throughout project lifecycle.
Prepare and present regular project reports covering progress, costs, and scheduling.
Support estimators and executives in managing the financial and contractual aspects of each project.
Represent the company in client meetings, progress reviews, and strategic discussions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
(required).
3–5 years of project management experience
in heavy highway or bridge construction (required).
Experience with NCDOT projects
and familiarity with DOT standards and procedures (required).
Professional Engineer (PE) license
preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Occasional travel may be required.
