Senior Staff / Cost Accountant
reporting directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate should have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, and experience in managing and analyzing financial records with a focus on cost accounting functions. Senior Staff / Cost Accountant , your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Updating and maintaining inventory valuations according to IFRS, including daily cost rolls for new products/variants and an annual plant-wide cost roll. Preparing cost reports, analyzing cost structures, and performing cost variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies. Developing and implementing cost control measures and strategies to optimize financial performance. Ensuring accurate allocation of costs across various products. Analyzing inventory reconciliation at month-end and researching variances. Supporting the coordination of the annual physical inventory. Participating in the month-end financial close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. Recording intercompany transactions, posting payments, and supporting sister companies with reporting. Preparing and distributing daily sales reports, validating against the general ledger, and reconciling differences. Finalizing sales reporting at month-end and supporting updates to the global reporting system. Preparing and analyzing weekly productivity reports and providing other production-related reports as requested by management. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing financial analysis to various departments. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior leadership to identify their needs and provide finance/accounting support. Seeking continuous improvements aligned with ASSA ABLOY’s strategic objectives. What we are looking for? The ideal candidate has: B.S. in Accounting or a related field. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, emphasizing cost accounting, reporting, and variance analysis. Strong Excel skills; experience with Business Objects, HFM, and JDE preferred. High attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and motivation to learn all aspects of manufacturing operations.
