This position offers a base pay range of $100,000.00 to $215,000.00 per year, with potential annual bonus and additional compensation based on skills and experience.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced personal injury attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through settlement negotiation, representing clients' interests to achieve fair compensation.
Responsibilities
Strategically litigate personal injury cases by preparing case files
Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and other legal documents to advance case progression
Manage cases through the pre‑litigation process from intake through demand, negotiation, and settlement
Draft and review discovery, meet‑and‑confer letters, and discovery motions
Prepare, conduct, and defend expert depositions
Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court
Review work product, including demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance
Draft mediation briefs, attend mediation, and actively participate in negotiating settlements
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assess case values
Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and discuss case developments
Prepare pre‑trial documents and trial materials if the case goes to trial
Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings
Manage and provide guidance to litigation assistants, case managers, and paralegals
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Texas State Bar and in good standing
At least 2 years of personal injury attorney experience
Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to client advocacy, integrity, and professionalism
Excellent research, communication, and negotiation skills
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $100k – $215k+ (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
