About the Role: This is a part‑time benefit eligible position. The schedule is Saturday/Sunday/Monday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with call hours after 5:00 pm every third week.

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly. The position involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions while emphasizing preventive care and patient education. The FNP collaborates closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that improve patient outcomes. A key outcome is providing compassionate, evidence‑based care that enhances the quality of life for patients and supports their families. Additionally, the FNP contributes to the healthcare team by participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying current with advances in medical and nursing practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification and licensure.

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Valid state nursing license to practice as an FNP.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or primary mental health care preferred.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.

Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in diverse patient populations.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications.

Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic illnesses.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities.

Skills: The required skills such as patient education are essential for effectively assessing patient needs and delivering tailored care plans. Nurse Practitioner competencies ensure autonomous clinical decision‑making and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred skills like experience with EHR systems and telehealth enhance the FNP’s ability to document care accurately and extend healthcare access through technology.
