Global Controller - Remote. Must be located in Central or Eastern Time Zones
About the Role
The Global Controller will oversee all global accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions across our international footprint. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated financial statements while optimizing global accounting processes. The ideal candidate has deep experience in both technology and managed services consulting environments, a proven track record in private equity–backed businesses, and exceptional technical accounting skills.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CFO and executive leadership team on strategic initiatives, including M&A integration and restructuring.
Lead all aspects of global accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidations, revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions.
Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Oversee preparation of US GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures across global entities.
Partner with FP&A, operations, and business leaders to provide actionable financial insights.
Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance with local statutory requirements.
Optimize ERP and financial systems to drive automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
Lead, coach, and develop an international accounting team to achieve high performance.
Drive process improvements and standardization across all regions.
Qualifications
CPA required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
20+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Global experience is a nice to have along with IFRS but not required.
Strong background in technology and managed services consulting industries.
Experience in a $200M+ private equity–owned business, with a track record of supporting growth and transformation.
Deep technical accounting expertise, including US GAAP and purchase accounting.
Proven success implementing and optimizing ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP/Business Central).
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop diverse, global teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with executive leadership, board members, and private equity stakeholders.
