Mechanical Engineer III – Redmond, WA
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Mechanical Engineer III in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on developing 3D and 2D mechanical design, analysis, and documentation for fixturing and tooling systems.
Responsibilities The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:
Developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analysis and documentation for fixturing and tooling systems.
Providing manufacturing decision‑making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
Reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.
Requirements
BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience with CAD and design and development of hardware at scale (High End Optics and Precision Mechanisms desired).
5+ years experience with development, test, and deployment of military/aerospace systems.
Proficiency with NX and TeamCenter.
Experience in DFA, DFM and manufacturing process development, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
Experience specifying/justifying margins and test sequences and qualifying military/aerospace systems.
Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
Experience with production fixturing and tooling.
Strong communication and writing skills.

Preferred
Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trade‑offs.
Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail.
Familiarity with engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.
Compensation Base pay range: $70.00/hr – $78.00/hr. Pay is provided by Kforce Inc and will be based on skills and experience.
