Full‑time Security Professionals are needed for a financial building in Whippany, N.J. The position starts at $19.78 per hour. This is a union site with all day availability, morning and afternoon shifts. Available Shifts
All days available, morning and afternoon. Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year of security experience. Valid New Jersey driver’s license with at least 1 year of clean driving record. Responsibility
Ensure the facility is protected and provide high‑quality security services. Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons. Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing. Enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors and premises. Monitor CCTV systems and alarms. Maintain awareness of site‑specific operations manuals and post orders. Meet state, county and municipal licensing requirements for armed security officers. Build and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests. Answer questions, greet guests and employees politely. Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle. Work for multiple clients at multiple locations, covering special projects, call‑offs and open shifts. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 21 years old. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Guard License per state law. Current clean driver's license and insurance as required by policy. Successful completion of background investigation, drug/alcohol test, and driver record check. Energetic, initiative‑driven, able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently. Professional, articulate, maintain confidentiality, and available for overtime. Effective oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. Intermediate computer skills; operate wireless technology at client sites. Highly organized; follow procedures consistently with integrity. Frequent preparation of reports and understanding of operating procedures. Physical & Mental Requirements
Regular use of both hands; frequent standing, sitting, stooping, speaking and hearing. Read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English. Walk, stand, reach, drive vehicle; lift up to 40 lbs; climb stairs occasionally. Use vision (correctable to normal) to observe monitors, interact with public. Work in adverse outdoor conditions including cold, rain or heat. Multi‑task in busy environment; handle stressful situations calmly. Speak, read and write English clearly. Employment Opportunity
