Job Summary As a
Catering Manager
at
Florida Atlantic University , you will lead the university’s catering operations, delivering exceptional food and service for events ranging from presidential luncheons to large‑scale tailgates and weddings. You’ll collaborate with campus departments, student organizations, and external clients to create customized culinary experiences that reflect FAU’s commitment to excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise all catering events.
Oversee catering event operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility‑related activities.
Collaborate with the chef to create menus.
Train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
Track and monitor labor and food cost for each event.
Communicate with management, clients, customers, and associates to maintain excellent client relationships.
Assist in all foodservice‑related activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of food service experience, including at least 1 year in a management role.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
Required catering experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
ServSafe certification.
