What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities

Use your knowledge of CarMax inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.

Guide customers every step of the way, from sale or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications.

Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for our customers.

CarMax pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 640 hours of selling; after which commissions become the primary base of pay.

Qualifications And Requirements

Sales and customer service experience, in an area such as retail, is preferred.

Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.

High level of self‑motivation.

Commission This position is eligible for commission.

Benefits Full‑time hourly or commissioned associates are eligible for paid sick and vacation time: up to 48 hours of sick time per year and between 80 and 200 hours of vacation per year after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service. Six paid scheduled holidays and one floating holiday are provided, with holiday premium pay for holiday work.
