Manufacturing Engineer – St. George, UT

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team in St. George, Utah, where you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our operations and supporting our continued growth.
Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing process design, development, and optimization at our St. George facility.
Support the relocation and integration of new technology and business into the St. George site, including floor plan layout, utilities planning, and workspace setup.
Learn and apply laser optics manufacturing and calibration processes while creating standard instructions for assembly and calibration.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety across machine shop, cleanroom, and production areas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in machine shop, purchasing, operations, and engineering.
Support the company’s broader automation and engineering strategy, including cath tip initiatives.
Develop documentation, training materials, and participate in 30/60/90 onboarding plans for seamless integration of new technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) OR
High School Diploma + 8 years of relevant experience considered.
Technical certifications (automation, machine design, Six Sigma) are a plus.
Experience
3–5 years in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
Background in medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred.
Skills
Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and validation experience (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Six Sigma Green Belt strongly preferred (Black Belt a plus).
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for cross-disciplinary teamwork.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus).
Knowledge of ISO9001/13485 Quality Systems.
