Job Summary Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
Responsibilities
Install, repair and maintain piping (copper, Pex, screw pipe, PVC, CPVC, gas), duct work, ductless split systems, boilers (water & steam), water source heat pump systems.
Problem solve HVAC system issues using hand tools, testing equipment and measuring devices to evaluate and repair systems.
Abide by proper reclaiming and environmentally sound disposal of refrigerants currently used in industry.
Qualifications Experience:
3 years general commercial HVAC
Licensure, Certification, Registration Valid CT Heating & Cooling license and Freon Recovery license required. Medical Gas (MG-1 or MG-2) licensure preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Ability Requirements
Follow all procedures when it pertains to organization procedures and OSHA requirements
Able to operate electronic devices.
Ability to braze and sodder piping.
Ability to work in a crouching or standing position for a long period of time.
Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding for long periods of time.
Ability to effectively operate in high locations.
