Qualifications Candidate must have a doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in nutrition or closely related field. Desired experiences include post‑doctoral training; teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels; research with scholarship via first‑authored publications; mentoring; randomized clinical trial research; and potential for external funding. Candidates should be able to teach courses, conduct clinical nutrition research, mentor students, and contribute to a learning environment.
Position Summary Full‑time tenure‑track Assistant Professor with emphasis on clinical nutrition research, beginning July 1, 2026. The position offers collaboration with national and international faculty and our medical school. Responsibilities include teaching the department’s undergraduate Nutrition course and possibly additional Health and Exercise Science courses (Human Physiology, Health Statistics, Health Psychology, Epidemiology, Exercise Physiology). The successful candidate will establish a productive national/international research program, mentor undergraduate and graduate research projects, academic and career advise students, and provide departmental, college, and university service. Teaching load: two 3‑credit courses each semester. Tenure‑track faculty receive professional development support, travel funds, and course release.

The department has 9 tenure‑track faculty and 7 teaching professionals. Degree offerings include B.S. and M.S. degrees in Health and Exercise Science.
