Summary Seeking a Senior Counsel to support our EPC, Procurement, Compliance and Sales teams, including the entire contract cycle for the construction of turnkey solar, solar plus battery energy storage and standalone battery‑energy‑storage projects. This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel or another designated executive, travels up to 25% of the time, and requires the candidate to be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
Assist the Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel in handling all aspects related to the construction of turnkey utility‑scale solar power and battery energy storage projects; serve as a legal expert and primary counsel for issues arising during construction.
Structure, draft, review and effectively negotiate EPC agreements, module supply agreements, logistics agreements, procurement contracts and other solar‑project related agreements.
Provide general legal support to finance, development, construction and operations teams regarding issues in the construction and operation of renewable projects.
Advise business teams on construction issues including change orders, EPC notices (e.g., force majeure), potential disputes, and post‑construction warranty claims.
Influence cross‑functional decision‑making by collaborating with internal partners and leading multidisciplinary teams to guide development of company policies and best practices.
Provide general legal counsel and strategic guidance to senior management.
Effectively and efficiently engage and manage outside counsel.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
Perform all other duties as assigned by General Counsel or other senior management personnel.
Required Qualifications
3+ years relevant experience.
Strong background in commercial contracts.
Procurement, Module Supply, Logistics, Compliance, and EPC experience preferred.
Top law firm training preferred.
Experience in the energy industry preferred.
Active Membership in at least one state bar.

Salary Range for Position Actual compensation for this position, located in Irvine, CA, is $220,000–$240,000 base salary per year. The range may differ for candidates hired nationwide. Additional discretionary bonuses or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, including full medical, dental, and other benefits.
