Associate Account Executive – Private Equity Group What You’ll Do
As an Associate Account Executive in our Private Equity Group, you’ll support a high-performing team focused on delivering tailored insurance solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies. You’ll be instrumental in managing client relationships, coordinating renewals, and ensuring operational excellence across accounts. Assist in the management of complex insurance programs for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Support the development and execution of client service plans, including renewals, coverage reviews, and risk assessments. Collaborate with producers, account managers, and claims advocates to deliver seamless service and strategic insights. Prepare proposals, presentations, and client communications that reflect Howden’s consultative approach. Maintain accurate records in CRM and policy management systems. Stay current on market trends, carrier appetites, and emerging risks relevant to private equity and M&A activity. Participate in client meetings, carrier negotiations, and internal strategy sessions. Skills and Experience
2–4 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, ideally in an Associate Account Executive or similar role. Exposure to private equity, financial lines, or complex commercial insurance placements is a plus. Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain). Strong organizational and communication skills, with a client-first mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms. Team-oriented approach with a desire to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Compensation and Benefits
The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $130,000, depending on experience and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
