Security Officer - Access Control

in

San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. This role is part‑time, offering flexibility and unmatched access to hands‑on experience and growth opportunities.

Position Type & Compensation Part‑time – Pay Rate: $33.44 per hour.

Job Schedule Saturday and Sunday – 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.

Support operations across a range of environments, including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.

Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures at government facilities, verifying credentials and granting or denying entry as appropriate.

Provide excellent customer service by following site‑specific policies and procedures during daily operations and emergency response situations.

Monitor entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity within the premises.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help deter security‑related risks and report any irregularities.

Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.

Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed to support security‑related operations at the location.

What We’re Looking For

Availability across various days and shifts.

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.

Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a minimum of 5 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or possess a college degree.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
