The Employee Engagement Associate provides administrative support to designated functional area(s). Manages the day-to-day operations of the functional area(s) and ensures the effective coordination of both technical and administrative support.
Essential Functions
Provides administrative support to designated functional area(s).
Manage phone calls, requests and inquiries related Employee Engagement and other areas of Human Capital.
Monitors and responds to all emails and verification of employment inquiries on your designated mailbox day.
Functions as a member of the project team(s) with responsibility for identifying and assessing the administrative support needs for complex projects and ensuring the provision of support and resources for effective project completion.
Performs administrative full-life cycle support activities as assigned.
Provides administrative support and training on processes and procedures.
Responsible for establishing positive working relationships with all employees, department administrators, peer organizations and other representatives from other school districts to ensure effective collaboration of resources and information in support of the functional area(s).
Works collaboratively within the Office of Human Capital regarding completion of assignments.
Screens, processes, approves or denies applications for tuition reimbursement.
Prepares and updates the database to track document submission to include credits received, document submission dates, tuition cost and dates paid.
Submits appropriate information to payroll to process tuition reimbursement payments.
Composes and drafts correspondence to employees regarding tuition reimbursement request.
If required, review reports to recommend repayment of tuition reimbursement funds paid to employees who violate the terms of the promissory note.
If required, be the City Schools point of contact for third party vendor for unemployment claims, responds to claims via email.
If required attend unemployment hearings as representative of City Schools.
Provides day-to-day administration and support to end users of related HRMS reports and databases.
Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment opportunity commission and non-discrimination policies; follow federal, state laws, regulations and school board policies and the professional standards.

Minimum Salary 67785.00
Desired Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in human capital, business, public administration or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Two years relevant experience in Human Capital or related field.
Other equivalent combinations of applicable education, training and experience that provide the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
Experience in using Human Capital Information systems (HCIS) such as Oracle, or PeopleSoft strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Human Capital best practices and principles.
Skills in planning and coordinating administrative and/or clerical functions.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentations skills.
Advanced skills in the use of Windows environment and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher and Outlook.
Ability to function independently and exercise appropriate judgment and discretion in providing administrative and technical human capital support.
Ability to collect, compile and analyze data, assemble information, and prepare reports.
Ability to effectively interpret and communicate human capital policies and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and employees.
Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple, complicated and continuing assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Ability to remain flexible in a creative and challenging work environment.
Ability to proactively manage and maintain data integrity.
