Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize large‑scale AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient operations. The candidate should be able to automate daily activities, support deployment pipelines, and develop observability for the cloud platforms.
This role requires expertise in cloud concepts, advanced DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and proficiency with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional skills in Kubernetes troubleshooting and deployments, Azure DevOps, Cloud Access Management, CloudFormation, and cloud networking.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Platform Management
Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure AWS and Azure cloud environments.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
DevOps and CI/CD
Develop and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other industry‑standard tools.
Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kubernetes issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Cloud Security
Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
Manage Cloud Access Management frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to mitigate risks.
Monitoring and Observability
Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
Develop dashboards and alerts to ensure real‑time visibility into cloud operations.
Cloud Networking
Architect and manage cloud network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and load balancers.
Ensure secure and efficient connectivity between on‑premises and cloud environments.
Troubleshoot and optimize network performance for low latency and high throughput.
Maintain, troubleshoot network hardware/software, implement security measures, monitor performance, and provide technical support to users.
Collaboration and Leadership
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, security, and compliance, to align cloud operations with business goals.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on cloud best practices.
Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 4 years focused on AWS and Azure platforms.
Proven experience managing large‑scale cloud environments in a Fintech or similarly regulated industry.
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes troubleshooting, deployments, and cluster management.
Demonstrated expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Strong background in cloud security principles and tools, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Extensive experience with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, and cloud networking concepts.
Technical Skills
Expert‑level knowledge of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and architectures.
Advanced DevOps skills, including automation, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Deep understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancing).
Familiarity with Fintech‑specific compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2) is a plus.
Certifications (mandatory)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
SysOps or DevOps certification.
Soft Skills
