We are seeking an experienced Advanced Analytics Analyst to join our Business Banking Analytics team within the Enterprise Analytics & Customer Experience (EACX) Department. This role blends descriptive statistics, data science, data visualization, advanced analytics, statistical analysis and data engineering to deliver insightful analysis and support strategic initiatives for our business partners in product, marketing and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in descriptive statistics, data analysis, data visualization, data science and data engineering, with expertise in partnering with business partners as well as strong strategic analysis and effective communication. This candidate will be comfortable identifying and sourcing new data sources, extracting, manipulating and analyzing data, leveraging data science concepts, developing effective visualizations and dashboards, extracting actionable insights, and partnering with the business to translate data insights into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities
Descriptive Statistics & Data Analysis: Utilize descriptive statistics to summarize and interpret business banking data, identifying trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities; perform in-depth data analysis to support various business functions with data accuracy and actionable insights. Advanced Statistics & Data Science: Apply advanced statistical methods and data science techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to uncover trends and support data-driven decision-making; develop and implement models to predict customer behavior and identify opportunities. Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present key metrics and insights to stakeholders; ensure dashboards are user-friendly and aligned with business needs. Data Engineering: Identify, source and manipulate new data sources and metrics; build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes; collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and data quality. Strategic Analysis: Conduct strategic analyses to evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic planning; provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights to guide business strategies and improve efficiency. Problem Solving: Address complex business problems with innovative analytical approaches; work cross-functionally to define analytical requirements, develop solutions, and implement strategies. Strategic Mindset: Develop understanding of business banking dynamics and market trends; partner with product, marketing, strategic partners, customer experience, and other stakeholders to translate business problems into analytics and actionable recommendations. Presentation & Communication: Communicate complex data findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports; develop and deliver visualizations that clearly articulate value of insights and recommendations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience Six to eight years of statistical and/or data analytics experience Preferred Skills/Experience Financial services experience Strong SQL and SAS querying skills Proficiency in descriptive and advanced statistical analysis; comfortable handling large, complex datasets Expertise in dashboard and report development using Tableau or Power BI Understanding and applying data science and machine learning concepts to analytics challenges Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset with a track record of turning data into actionable insights Experience partnering with business stakeholders to solve problems and provide insights and opportunities Excellent presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguity Organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects Certification in business analytics, data mining, data science or statistical analysis Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics or Data Science Note:
