role at
Vantage Point Consulting
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Enterprise Architect to lead the architectural design, integration, and governance of Salesforce platforms for public sector clients. This role is critical in enabling government transformation initiatives, improving citizen services, and modernising legacy systems through the power of Salesforce’s Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
Core Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership: Define the Salesforce platform architecture roadmap aligned with public sector modernization goals (e.g., digital service delivery, case management, benefits administration). Drive the multi‑cloud strategy using Salesforce products: PSS, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, and others as needed. Ensure alignment with architectural principles, IT strategy, and governance frameworks.
Public Sector Solution Design and implementation: Build compliant solutions within FedRAMP, or other relevant frameworks for domains such as Case and Program Management, Permitting & Licensing, Benefits & Grants Administration, Citizen Engagement & Portals.
Integration and Data Strategy: Define and implement integration architecture across legacy systems (e.g., mainframes, ERP) using MuleSoft, API Gateway, and Salesforce External Services. Develop robust data models, migration strategies, and data governance plans, particularly involving sensitive PII/PHI data. Lead efforts around Master Data Management (MDM), data lakes, and Salesforce‑native analytics (e.g., CRM Analytics).
Security, Identity & Access Management: Architect secure solutions leveraging Salesforce Shield, Field Audit Trail, encryption, and event monitoring. Design single sign‑on (SSO) and multi‑factor authentication (MFA) integrations using SAML, OAuth, or ADFS. Collaborate with security teams to conduct system risk assessment activities.
Development Lifecycle and Governance: Establish technical guardrails for the Salesforce development lifecycle, including CI/CD (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and DevOps pipelines. Perform code reviews and sandbox management. Define and enforce governance standards across architecture, data, performance, and documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership: Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solution blueprints, and conduct architecture reviews. Act as the primary technical liaison with federal/state/local IT leadership, implementation partners, and Salesforce product teams.
Team Guidance: Provide guidance to developers, business analysts, and other architects across Agile delivery teams.
