Diesel Mechanic - Medium/Heavy Duty - Second Shift

We are looking for an experienced self‑starter Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Technician for our Fort Lauderdale Facility. This position involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing medium and heavy‑duty diesel vehicles, trucks, and off‑road equipment in a safe and quality‑focused environment.
Second Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday - 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely at all times.
Maintain organization in shop procedures and paperwork.
Diagnose issues and collaborate with colleagues to devise repair strategies.
Communicate effectively.
Show a positive attitude and teamwork.
Apply problem‑solving skills.
Assist in training and developing others as needed.
Bring personal tools.
Qualifications
Ase and manufacturer certifications (Caterpillar, Cummins, MX, Eaton/Meritor, etc.) are a plus.
Proficient in minor and major repairs on medium and heavy‑duty trucks.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Large fleet and dealership experience preferred.
Experience with electronic diagnostic software a plus.
Valid driver’s license required.
CDL Class A license a plus.
High School diploma or GED.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, or walking during essential duties.
Stand, sit, or walk minimum 4 hours while performing regular work duties.
Pass vision, hearing, and respiratory function tests.
Respond to voice commands.
Lift 10–20 pounds consistently.
Lift 50–100 pounds.
The fleet includes cars, gas and diesel trucks, trailers, and construction equipment of all types.
Safety Must comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental rules while performing daily job tasks.
