Celestial AI
Overview
As Generative AI continues to advance, the performance drivers for data center infrastructure are shifting from systems-on-chip (SOCs) to systems of chips. The Photonic Fabric™ enables high bandwidth, low latency optical interconnects for AI accelerators and GPUs, offering significant performance and energy efficiency improvements. Celestial AI is building a Photonic Fabric ecosystem with tier-1 partnerships across custom silicon/ASIC design, system integration, memory, assembly, and packaging. About the role
We are seeking a Test Engineer with expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and System-Level Testing (SLT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and optimize test strategies for semiconductor and optical components, with optics-based testing experience considered a strong plus. Essential duties and responsibilities
Develop, debug, and optimize ATE and SLT test programs for production and validation. Collaborate with design, product, and validation teams to define and implement test requirements. Analyze test data to improve yield, performance, and reliability. Develop and maintain test patterns and test methodologies for different device types. Support JTAG, boundary scan, and other digital/analog test interfaces. Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to ensure test coverage and debug failures. Automate data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance efficiency. Provide failure analysis and debug support for production and engineering samples. Support new product introduction (NPI) and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and efficiency. If applicable, develop and execute optics-based testing methodologies for integrated photonics or optical components. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience. Hands-on experience with ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest, Teradyne, LTX, etc.). Experience in SLT, functional testing, and debug at the system level. Proficiency in programming test scripts (Python, C/C++, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of semiconductor testing methodologies, test coverage, and data analysis. Familiarity with JTAG, boundary scan, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, PCIe, etc.). Experience in failure analysis, yield improvement, and test optimization. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications
Experience in optics/photonics testing (lasers, modulators, optical transceivers, etc.). Knowledge of optical instrumentation (power meters, spectrum analyzers, interferometers, etc.). Familiarity with high-speed signal integrity and RF testing. Experience in data visualization tools for test analysis. Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA. Compensation and benefits
As an early-stage startup, we offer an attractive total compensation package including base salary, bonus, and equity. Target base salary for this role is approximately $195,000.00 – $225,000.00, with final offers determined by depth of experience and skills demonstrated during interviews. We offer health, vision, dental, and life insurance, collaborative learning environments, and opportunities to work with talented teams developing next-generation high-performance computing architectures. Equal opportunity
Celestial AI Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
