Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment as needed, identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and buildings, maintain maintenance inventory, and requisition parts and supplies. Ensure all activities and issues are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display proficiency in one or more of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management. Demonstrate solid knowledge and skill in safe use of hand and power tools, repair or replacement of PVC copper pipe (including soldering), and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, plumbing fixtures, electrical equipment, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping, assist with surface preparation and painting, and conduct minor drywall and trim repair. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display working knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems. Perform mid‑level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, train and mentor other engineers, and perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds. Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background. Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience. No supervisory experience required. Valid Driver's License. Required Qualifications
