Backend Software Engineer, Global E-Commerce Supply Chain & Logistics - USDS
Our Supply Chain & Logistics team is a key pillar of the global e-commerce business, responsible for the selection of goods, procurement, warehousing, inventory management and other business modules. It aims to improve customer experience with warehousing, supply chain & logistics technology, empowering merchants to simplify and expand their business worldwide with dependable and trustworthy fulfillment capabilities, so as to make affordable and high‑quality products more accessible, contributing to an improved quality of life for consumers.
Responsibilities
Develop efficient, highly scalable and secured services to build/integrate Supply Chain & Logistics system for domestic and global TikTok Shop E-commerce.
Optimize backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency and scalability.
Deliver best‑in‑class engineering excellence practices across all product engineering disciplines.
Hybrid work schedule requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, subject to manager or department direction.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
1 to 3 years experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Go/Python/C++. Qualified new graduates would also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Delivery Technology, and/or Warehousing.
Experience in E-Commerce and retail related fields.
Experience in full stack development is a plus.

Job Information Compensation: $118,657 – $259,200 annually (base salary range). Base pay is one part of the Total Package. The role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of paid personal time.
